Please welcome yet another clone of Roland's famous-for-being-broken filter hybrid, known as A1QH800170, used in synthesizers like Juno-106 or MKS30.
What makes it different? It uses exactly the same components as original hybrid. No compromise, no internet crawled info, just pure measurement of the original, nothing else, nothing more.
Obviously the vintage chips used by Roland are not made any more for ages, and any IC you can buy today are either very old stocked chips, or fakes.
But fortunately one brave, small semiconductor factory in eastern Europe has put the effort and managed to redesign those ICs, working hard to make them as close to original specs using modern technology.
Those are not cheap parts. Nothing even comparable pricewise to popular OTA from Texas Instruments that costs $0.10 widely used in many 80017 other clones.
But I wanted to make it as close to original as possible, even at the additional cost.
Look at size comparison between those clones and originals in case you wondered if they fit. Yes, they fit!
How does it sound? To me, there's no difference. There might appear some tests done by many people on YT, so someday you will hear it,
but I dare to say it's closer to original than one vintage 80017 to another vintage 80017.
