Yet another MIDI master controller. When you need something small, or just want to add a few MIDI potentiometers to your MIDI line, or keys, or MIDI-controlled LEDs, or maybe displays,
then MRGMINI is the best choice. The most popular
MRG2 offers 5 scanner inputs, while this lil fella only 2,
but sometimes 2 is enough. Or even 1. Instead it adds something MRG2 cannot provide - onboard inputs for 8 potentiometers and 7 switches. If that's all you need,
MRGMINI may become one-board solution that is half the price of other options. Of course MRGMINI has all the features of its bigger brothers, as it runs the same core software,
so all features and user option codes you might know from other boards apply here as well.
Features:
- 8 analog inputs for potentiometers, voltages, expression pedals and mod wheels
- 7 user-configurable special function switches
- 2 scanner inputs for connecting keyboards or potentiometers scanner
- MIDI input for merging external MIDI stream, and to control LEDs and LCDs via MIDI,
- user-defined split point, key range, channel and event for every input
- Program Change via numeric keypad
- all settings stored in nonvolatile memory
- firmware upgradeable via MIDI SysEx file
- requires a 5-20V DC power supply, current consumption widely depending on number and type of scanners used, minimum 4mA

The board has 2 connectors for 10-wire ribbon cables. One of them contains 8 analog inputs, with +5V and GND terminals to use as top and bottom rails of all potentiometers.
The other one holds 7 switch-type inputs plus one EDIT pin for entering user config mode (that's useful if you don't have the KEYPAD). Each of the switch and analog-type inputs are individually configurable
in terms of MIDI channel and event. They may also serve as transposition, channel controls, and more.
2 whitish 4-way connectors are for optional scanners, adding up to 256 contacts and 64 analog inputs, as well as multiple LCD modules and LED controllers.
And of course, DIN MIDI input and output.
