MiDisp3

price: 25.00 EUR

Full color graphic display that can fit anywhere. It may be small but can do everything that its bigger brother does, and more. It may work as settings display, but it is more useful labeling various controls of your custom built instrument. Up to 100 of those can be connected in series, and it plugs to any scanner port of master controller like MBBS, MRG2, MIDI128, just like every other extension board available here.
It comes with auxiliary switch input and LED output. No other hardware (except actual button, LED and cable) is needed to build an array of MIDI controlled lighted buttons, for example stop labels with Hauptwerk. With addition of very simple power booster board, the display can also control magnet driven drawknobs or tabs (SAM).

It was primarily designed for Hauptwerk labeling system, but it's easy to display text by sending previously prepared MIDI messages from sequencer or DAW. Hauptwerk labeling is somewhat limited, to 32 characters only, and single color. By inserting special characters (which Hauptwerk changes to question marks) it is possible to use different colors and font sizes on single display with single MIDI SysEx message.

This display will eventually come in 4 sizes, the shown one is the smallest of them.
